Carried
1 - Chairmans report - W Atkinson thanked the officials for the running of the club last season. Confirmed open sponsorship from Wilf Nobles.
2 - Secretary’s report.
"There was a committee meeting Tues 22nd Apr 2025 White Hart Inn, Mickleby during which our annual open was discussed.
Minutes are posted on the website - copy [printed] here should anyone wish to read it now. [but otherwise online]
The Open match is now a Heaviest Single Fish match.
One fish one prize & £100 for HBoFish
The Open match Rules have been amended because of observations and complaints.
These were noted by the committee, new rules drawn and approved by the committee. [see accompanying print out on agenda] {also at the bottom of this page}
Other matters:
Club insurance to be continued.
Parents/guardians are responsible for Juniors to be correctly dressed for fishing club matches.
Deadline for attending presentation night - 1 week and thereafter member is responsible for contacting venue.
The first match of the season re attending Bandstand has been noted as being abused with members not attending but heading off to their distant mark, so gaining an advantage. The committee agreed for it to stay the same but monitored.
Personally, I believe if you cannot attend the Bandstand then should not be able to fish the match as over the years there has been too many cases of this being abused, and I believe a line should be drawn in the sand. [See AOB 'B' below]
I will continue to run the ‘Knockouts’ and ‘Monthly Sweeps’ unless someone else volunteers.
It would be nice if someone re-started the ‘scratch cards’ to raise money for the club.
The club printer requires a new print head, estimated costs £100.
Epson cartridges are £73 or £42 for non-branded cartridges, personally I do not think it is cost effective to repair.
In the mean time I have bought myself an Epson Eco Tank printer where ink is £40 for the 4 genuine top-up bottles [127ml black and 70ml for the 3 colours].
And I think that is all - thank you."
