Surprisingly it wasn't raining, although the forecast said rain, which did come later in the morning. Thunder & lightning so a good job I had a couple of pictures from this mornings walk with Aussie. Further encounters with a less than timid squirrel. Who came within a couple of feet to retrieve a groundnut, tasted it & scurried off up a tree.

Looking like another dull grey day on this mornings walk with Aussie. Nice to see the large duck return. Morning commute for Charlie & Billy Hazel & groundnuts tempted these squirrels from the tree tops,
but not close enough to take them. Miserable wet morning walk with Aussie in the drizzle.
1st squirrel was quite content sat up her tree. 2nd was sat on a stump watching the world go by. Though couldn't resist a free dog biscuit I'd thrown a few metres in front of me. A walk in the woods threw up some surprises. 100mm macro ↑ - Porcelain fungi suited B&W, very small in reality - ↓
Dawn, and a trip to Staithes On the way back to Whitby, stopped off to photograph these salmon fishermen at Sandsend
A very long night for the Milky Way, light pollution is a BIG problem
as it masks the bottom of the milky way. Dew forming on the lens was also a big problem. Anyone else found one of these? This one might be doing a tour of Yorkshire :-) |
