All England Codling Championship
Entered the 6 hr match, fishing from 11 - 5 pm, although conditions were far from ideal, staying local, it was an opportunity to check and fine tune my kit for the start of the season on Wednesday night. There was some colour in the water, sea state was all but flat with the occasional lift.
Just after low water 13.12 hrs (Whitby) hooked a codling 2 lb 06 oz, two casts later a wrasse. After that there were no bites, but all in all it was an enjoyable day and looking forward to the season.
