A week of walking & wildlife photography. We saw one kingfisher, but never got a chance to even lift the camera. Grimshaw water - Free!! A circular walk, well worth a visit. Cormorant Duck(s) & chicks Lapwing with chick Oyster catchers Red legged Partridge Reed Bunting Robin House Martins gathering mud for their nest House Sparrow Jackdaw Pied Wagtail Grey Wagtail Lambs (rescued lamb with head stuck in fence) Family of Geese (we were warned they were vicious) Heron - fishing Peregrine & 2 chicks Chris, and Aussie went to explore Gordale scar so I headed to Malham Cove, where two days earlier I had spotted this peregrine flying in & out. No sooner than I'd got set up, taken a few test shots of the chicks, when mum flew in with breakfast. Spent 3 hrs watching & photographing. Well worth a visit, there are jackdaws everywhere, reminiscent of the 'The Birds' - Alfred Hitchcock 1963 |
