The meeting was held at the Fleece, Church Street, Whitby on the 11th September 2002, starting at 8pm with 17 members in attendance.
The minutes of the 2001 meeting were read by the secretary Bernard Vasey and were proposed as a rue record by William Atkinson, seconded James Gilpin.
Finances.
The treasures report was read by Dave Johnson with the club accounts starting the season with a balance of £1,011.16.
The subs and match entries were down on the previous year but the Open + Ship Competitions made a profit.

2) A vote was taken on whether to change the weigh in venue for the 'Ship' to the 'Fleece'.
Vote went 8 to stay at the Ship and 6 to mix it.
Passed to stay at the Ship.
3) A proposal by Neil Inglis to change the size limit of whiting (30 cm) to 27 cm measurement.
The Northern Federation size limits which we weigh in from, show whiting as 30 cm.
The National federation size measurement size limit, which Scarborough & Filey Clubs use is 27 cm.
After a discussion of advantages / disadvantages for the smaller size, the vote went with a majority to remain at 30 cm.
4) Heaviest Fish Outside a Competition.
Problem with trying to weigh a heavy fish out of a club match as no scales at the Ship.
Although it could go to Bernard Vasey's home to use the scales, he may not be at home!!
