The meeting was held at the Fleece, Church Street, Whitby, on the 14th September 2005.
Starting at 8pm, a count of the number of members was not taken.
The minutes of the 2004 meeting were read by Bernard Vasey. As the club does not have a full time secretary to do the paper work, due to the standing down of myself (Bernard Vasey). A true record of the nights proceedings may not of been noted ie proposers and seconders etc, I would like to apologise for this.
The meeting commenced with the treasurers report read by Dave Johnson.
Finances.
The bank balance for the club is still in the black - but the end of seasons balance was down by £25.
Officials.
It was sad to report the passing away of our President Noel Jameson, who had supported Whitby Sea Anglers with great interest, by attending the Annual Prize giving dinners with his wife. He also did Whitby proud being the Town Mayor.
A new President will have to be elected:-
Possible candidates are Mike Russell & Tony Barningham.
Also Mike Marshall, landlord of the Fleece, Church Street, to take a position as a Vice President.

Denis Thompson said he would like to resign as Chairman and would like to stand down.
After a long debate on who would take the position there were volunteers (a few proposals) Bernard Vasey eventually accepted to fill the position for the "mean time".

A vote was taken and passed that any one angler cannot win both Heaviest Fish & Heaviest Bag pool money, unless there is only ONE angler who weighed in.

Dave Perrett had obtained a £15 cash donation from Bill Costins, manufacturer of fishing weights in Scarborough. To be presented to a junior with the Heaviest Fish in the Whitby Open Competition.
Also in the Whitby Open Competition to collect tackle prizes from Keiths Sports and from Rods & Reels to have vouchers, this is so anglers could have a choice of prizes or go towards a dearer prize.
