Illuminated Abbey I was kindly invited to the preview night of the 2019 Illuminated 'Whitby' Abbey, Halloween special, by English Heritage. Probably, from a togs point of view, the best evening we have had in years gone by, weather wise for photography. Open from Friday 25th - Saturday 2nd November 6pm - 9pm.

Two weeks on the Isle of Skye, last visited 2 yrs ago, and things have changed.
Old Man of Storr, parking is a little goldmine for traffic wardens as parking is strictly enforced where the double yellows are. Fairy Pools, parking is now £5, as they have spent £100,000 on Phase 1 & the car park is massive now. Phase 2 starts late June 2019, more landscaping inc bore holes for water & toilets. Café will then follow. Stardust boat trip, Portree £25 each, no porpoise/dolphins, but did see a pair of sea eagles {largest bird of prey 7ft wingspan} Orbost ♂ & Freya ♀. Orbost flew down for a gurnard, thrown in by skipper Dan, photographed below. Extra parking is currently being created at the Quiraing. Sadly storm Brian (October 2017) has washed away a lot of the walls on the south west side of the island (below the heli pad). Trwyn Du Lighthouse is a lighthouse between Black Point near Penmon and Ynys Seriol, or Puffin Island, at the eastern extremity of Anglesey, marking the passage between the two islands. Garth Pier is a Grade II listed structure in Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales. At 1,500 feet in length, it is the second-longest pier in Wales, and the ninth longest in the British Isles.
