Parking - Anglers banned
Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Park
Despite taking time out to visit the Management on Monday 18th Nov in the afternoon, and discus future arrangements, I have received the following three communications.
I would ask that all members inform their respective Club Secretaries, and make alternative arrangements for parking.
Cloughton, Scalby, Scarborough Rocks, Filey & Bridlington etc.....
9 of the 10 spaces were taken by anglers, only 3 paid the nominal £1 [CCTV in operation], and one reportedly gave some 'back chat' to an employee.
Tight lines
Peter
Parking - Anglers banned
Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Park
Dear Whitby Sea Anglers Association,
My name is Andy Martin, I am the managing director of Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Parks, High Hawsker, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO22 4LL. Telephone number 01947 880477, email address [email protected]
It is our understanding that yesterday (Sunday 17th November 2019), there was some sort of fishing competition being run by yourselves, as our entire car park was taken up by fishermens vehicles. This prevented customers of ours & our on site Cafe Bar from being able to park & therefore prevented us both from conducting our business, as customers were arriving, finding there was nowhere to park & then leaving again, which is completely un-acceptable!
We were given no prior warning by anyone of a competition taking place, had we been so, we would have been given the opportunity to express our concern. All of these vehicles were already there when our team came to work on Sunday & they did not leave until after our team left work (all day long). Leaving them powerless to do anything about the removal of these vehicles, to assist our customers.
We are extremely disappointed by the lack of consideration of our business taken by these fishermen. In future, we are now going to have to ban any guests other than those who are directly connected to our business from using our car park.
We would like to ensure that this message is passed on to all members of your association & no similar incidents occur from this day forward.
We would greatly appreciate confirmation you have received & read this message & also of your intention to make your members aware of our request.
Thank you for your assistance & co-operation with this matter.
Kind Regards,
Andy - on behalf of Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Park

Dear Peter,
Regretfully we are no longer able to accommodate Anglers on our Car Park at Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Parks.
As our business is growing in both the Holiday Parks and the Café we require all our available parking.
Andy Martin, the Managing director has already sent you correspondence to this effect (please see email below 20th November 2019), and has confirmed that this remains the stance of Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Parks.
We appreciate that not all Anglers belong to the Whitby sea anglers association and would be grateful if you could forward any contact details you may have for other local Angling Associations so that we can contact them directly with the same notice.
Kind Regards,
Northcliffe & Seaview Holiday Parks, YO22 4LL
