Colin Stainthorpe's - 7 lb 12 oz cod

Sunday nights 4 hr matched started an hour before high water 4.9m.  With a north easterly wind, there was a definite chill in the air and some long distance northerly swell.  With a virtually cloudless night anglers watched as a very bright red moon rose above the horizon.  With no reports of weed 13 anglers were at the scales with 35 fish for 46 lb 13 oz.  Both Rob Allison and Mick Bowman had a decent fish a piece 4 lb 12 oz and 6 lb 07 oz respectfully but not enough to beat Colin Stainthorpe with the heaviest fish of the month a 7 lb 12 oz cod.  Colin's second fish made a total weight of 8 lb 11oz for the heaviest bag of fish of the month.  Well done Colin a well deserved man of the match.
A little under a fortnight away, on sunday 18th November, there will be no night match as it is WSAA Annual Open Match.  Fishing 10am - 4pm, with the weigh in at the Fleece, Church St.
