The Ruswarp Gardeners (Soc) organised a scarecrow competition to raise funds for a new village notice board. The glass doors had been ripped off in recent bad weather.
The four ladies who maintain the beautiful village greens are Kathy Frost, Mary Degazon (both pictured above), and Julie Harrison & Beryl Morley. Judging had already taken place - Friday 21st Aug 2015. The station porter was running late and missed the judging!!

Chris had taken Aussie for an evening walk last night,and he was 'spooked' by the 'station porter', so I was dispatched on assignment, and met up with Kathy & Mary.
