Ruswarp residents raised concerns over the quantity of trees trapped by the scaffolding, recently washed down by heavy rainfall. The British Rail owned railway bridge is currently under going maintenance and the scaffolding surrounding the bridge is a tangled mass of trees and bushes.
Wednesday, overnight into Thursday Stobart Rail Civil Engineering were brought in to remove the debris with a mechanical grab and skip. Full skips were then emptied into waiting lorries. The cost, reportedly £30,000.00
