Finally some better weather so up & out with Aussie just after 3.40am, after the sunrise we went for an extended walk.

Spotted this deer from the other side of the valley so we made an effort to get closer, and nearly ended up too close ☺

This heron flew up river then landed to take advantage of the morning suns warmth.

Much larger than the normal ducks seen on the River Esk.

Typical Bank Holiday Monday as the weather takes a turn for the worse, morning walk with Aussie was foggy, damp & much colder than of late.

Arrived at the slipway just as Dean Clews & Mickey Bowman were meeting the RNLI Lifeboat crew who had re-floated Mickey's boat (Golden Days), having overturned in the night due to being 'hung-up' on a ladder at its moorings.  Crew unloading portable pump & hoses.

First visit to Saltburn-by-the-Sea to photograph a sunset.

First light, Aussie & I were sat comfortably enjoying the pre-dawn colours,
​followed by sunrise, no other Togs visible.

The sea state resembled a mirror, ideal for seine/T&J netting for sea trout.

Aussie & I were up & out early doors for sunrise 4.43am, then walk to Ruswarp to see who was 'out & about'.

After the sunrise, it was home, grab another camera lens combo &
​off for our walk to Ruswarp 5.15am

Heron are so nervous, anyway this one took flight.
After a couple of long distance shots we followed.
Tip toeing down the footpath and were rewarded as it had caught a rockling.

Morning walk with Aussie.  Once on the Caedmon footpath I spotted these two young buck deer heading for the traffic lights ie a dead end.  Once they realised, & heard the traffic, a quick about turn and sprinted back past me to find a safer haven.
