Finally some better weather so up & out with Aussie just after 3.40am, after the sunrise we went for an extended walk. Spotted this deer from the other side of the valley so we made an effort to get closer, and nearly ended up too close ☺ This heron flew up river then landed to take advantage of the morning suns warmth. Much larger than the normal ducks seen on the River Esk.

Damp cloudy start to the day Black & white Not camera shy this morning Yet more litter as bins were not emptied yesterday
Typical Bank Holiday Monday as the weather takes a turn for the worse, morning walk with Aussie was foggy, damp & much colder than of late. Arrived at the slipway just as Dean Clews & Mickey Bowman were meeting the RNLI Lifeboat crew who had re-floated Mickey's boat (Golden Days), having overturned in the night due to being 'hung-up' on a ladder at its moorings. Crew unloading portable pump & hoses. Whitby Marina - morning walk with Aussie Dress down day - PJ's for shopping at Co-Op Aussie was intrigued with this fledgling crow Afternoon walk with Aussie, across the viaduct & into town
An unusual sight at Whitby Marina - toilet break for these two house boat 'lop rabbits'. Squirrel defying gravity enjoying the warmth of the sun.
