Owning a dog means lots of walks, but where to go to keep him interested & alert?
A walk in the woods, with a camera, of course, lead to a life long wish to come true.
Finding a lesser spotted woodpecker feeding chicks.
I had to wait patiently, for an hour Chris noted & quoted, being eaten alive by midges to get these photographs. Worth the pain.

Last night:-
The 'plan', was an early tea, and they an evening stroll for the sunset (should it happen) rather than vegetate in-front of the TV.
So off we went to the East pier, for a play with the camera whilst Chris took Aussie for a swim, then join me.
As I was setting up, 6ft tripod, camera bag on the ground, blatantly obvious as to my intentions, well the first two pictures speak for themselves. A family started to 'camp' in front of me.
Kids kicked off their flip flops, dad produced 2 glasses, bottle of vodka, and orange pop from a Mary Poppins nee Co-Op carrier. Was he taking the piss? No, he genuinely thought he'd got there first, and I was looking the other way!
Needless to say, his partner, when she caught up, took her drink, and shifted him out of the way 'saying he was there first'. Thank you.
The sunset didn't happen, another evening maybe.
